Miss Philippines International ‘09

Melody Aldelheid Manuel Gersbach reflects not only the beauty of her home province of Albay in Bicol, but she also represents the spring of hope that continuously flows in the typhoon-battered province. This year, at the 49th Miss International pageant, 23-year old Melody Gersbach will take that entrancing beauty and cascading hope to try and bring the title back home to the Philippines.

Melody is not a stranger to beauty competitions. She has competed with equally stunning Bicolanas in her hometown, but her unique charm and intelligence gained the judges’ nods for back-to-back Miss Magayon in Albay and Miss Bicolandia titles in 2008. Armed with her Bb. Pilipinas International title, Meldoy is expected to use the same beauty and brains along with her experience to compete with the world’s best.

This Management graduate of University of Asia and the Pacific keeps herself busy as the OIC and manager of her family’s restaurant business in Legaspi. This young entrepreneur promises to be one of tomorrow’s business managers to watch as she keeps a keen interest on online marketing. During her spare time, she dabbles in drawing and keeps some of her most precious memories In a scrapbook, a hobby that gives her great pleasure.

Born in Germany to a German father and a Filipino mother, this 5’6” beauty glides on the ramp with a well-formed physique at 34-24-34.

Should lady luck smile on her quest for the prestigious Miss International crown, Melody will make it her mission to promote education among the underprivileged youth to enable them to secure a better future for them and their families.
