Ivanka Trump to Launch Handbag, Footwear Line with Marc Fisher

Ivanka Trump, daughter of Donald Trump, is her own businesswoman.

Trump teamed with Marc Fisher Footwear to create a collection that will appeal as both comfortable and fashionable – perfect for the everyday woman. According to Trump, “What you tend to see are totally unwearable, over-the-top styles, or [looks that are] comfortable to the point of forgoing any appealing aesthetic. I’m going for the middle.”

The “stylish, yet refined” line will include styles for stiletto heels, flip flops, sneakers, and ballet flats. They will be “moderately priced,” ranging from $80 to $140 and sold at department stores throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico, said Marc Fisher president Susan Itzkowitz.

As for the handbags, Trump said enthusiastically that she wants them to be accessible to everyone, answering a question of whether or not “regular” women will be able to afford the bags. She recently announced on her Twitter that she concluded a meeting with her handbag partners and that “The bags look amazing!”

She already has her own jewelry line out, and plans to release the footwear and handbag line in spring of 2011.
